With the affectionate nature of a Pomeranian and the intelligence of a Poodle, the Pomapoo is know for its loving and affectionate nature, small size and big personality.  These dogs are outgoing and eager to make friends and wonderful with children.  As with all TLC Kennel designer breeds, our Pomapoos are a first generation breeding.


The Pekingese, also known as the Lion Dog, is an ancient breed of toy dog, originating in China.   The Pekingese breed is over 2000 years old and has hardly changed in all that time.  Polite with strangers and usually accepting of other animals, the pekingese is one of the most dignified and independent of the toy breeds.  He is calm and quiet indoors and doesn’t need much exercise,




Cockapoos have been around since the 1950’s.  A Cockapoos is a cross between a purebred poodle and a purebred cocker spaniel. Any size poodle can be used and an American or English cocker is used.  We use a large toy poodle and an American Cocker Spaniel.  Our poodle is the sire and the Cockers are our moms.  The temperament of the Cockapoo is awesome! Cockapoos are highly trainable with keen intelligence. They are out going, curious and eager to please. They can do well with one person or a family with children.



A fun-loving “designer dog” TLC Kennel combines only first generation Toy Poodles with Yorkshire Terriers to create the preferred smaller Yorkiepoo.     The Yorkipoo has a low-dander, low-shedding coat, and is happy in many different types of homes.   They make an excellent companion for the elderly and with their gentle and loving disposition, the Yorkipoo has proven to be a successful therapy dog as well.  These happy-go-lucky little guys have plenty of energy and love to play when not parked on your lap just chilling out with you.


Morkies are one-half Yorkshire terrier and one-half Maltese and can take on characteristics of one or both parents.  In the last few years Morkies also have become increasingly popular because they exhibit the desirable traits of both breeds.

Generally, Morkies range in height between 6-15 inches and weigh between 5-10 pounds, depending on the size of their parents.  Most are small averaging around 7 to 8 pounds as adults.  Morkies bred at TLC Kennel are always first generation cross.

West Highland White Terrier

West Highland White Terriers are a hardy breed that has a friendly disposition that makes an ideal companion.  With a short compact body, erect ears, and a pure white coat, West Highlands are a stand out everywhere they go.  This dog is a bundle of fun and one of the most requested breeds at TLC Kennel.

Shih Tzu Poodle

Hybrid breeds such as the Shih Tzu/Poodle are always in demand.  He may have the curly coat of a Poodle or the long, straight coat of a Shih Tzu, but he always has a cute, alert expression and a sturdy body.  Like his parent breeds, the Shihpoo can come in a multitude of solid colors or in a particolor pattern (a color plus white).  Shihpoos are playful, friendly and affectionate, always happy to sit in a lap and give a little love. They generally weigh 7 to 20 pounds, depending on the size of their parent breeds.  For their size they are courageous and make excellent watchdogs.

Shih Tzu Bichon

The Bichon Frise/Shih Tzu cross is getting to be increasingly popular, and, with good reason.  It is a relatively low maintenance dog that makes an ideal companion.  The Shichon is small, about 9 to 12 inches in height and 10-15 pounds when an adult.  Shichons have an average lifespan of between 12 and 15 years.  It’s coat colors can be a variety, although they tend to favor the light shades and is practically non shedding with regular brushing.  Don’t miss out on having one of these lovable Teddy Bears for your very own.

Pembroke Welsh Corgi

A sturdy, low-set, alert, and active dog, the Corgi has an intelligent and bold expression that is slightly fox like in appearance.  Pembroke Welsh Corgis are very affectionate, love to be involved in the family, and tend to follow wherever their owners go. They have a great desire to please their owners, thus making them eager to learn and train. Corgis are one of the most agreeable small house dogs.  Colors range from sable red to tricolor with white marking on legs, neck, and muzzle.  Queens choice.


Peekapoos are a cross breed between a Pekingese and a poodle. Like the parent breeds, Peekapoos can be friendly, affectionate dogs.  Like poodles, they can be easy to train, and like other small breeds can live 12 to 15 years or older.  They are small dogs with mop like hair of varying colors including black, white, brown, and tri-colored.  The Peekapoo was bred to be a companion dog who was also low shedding and hypoallergenic.  Peekapoos are always in demand here at TLC Kennel.


Schnoodles are first-generation crosses, with two purebred parents: a poodle and a schnauzer.  Schnoodles may possess the rough hair and strong body shape of the schnauzer, or the thinner shape and the curly hair of the poodle, or any combination of these characteristics.  They can be affectionate, naturally protective, intelligent as the schnauzer and/or clever, active, and excelling in obedience training like the poodle.  Schnoodles may inherit any combination of intelligence, personality, temper and protective nature of the parent breeds. They make good pets and are often devoted and affectionate to their family.  TLC Kennel is proud to offer this classic designer breed.

Miniature Schnauzer

This dog breed of the terrier group is completely devoted to its family members and known for being obedient to commands, super intelligent and always on alert, so they’re great watchdogs.  Another reason these little pups are so popular is because of their non-shedding coats. This makes the Miniature Schnauzer the perfect canine companion for allergy sufferers plus these dogs do well living in the city or the country.

Standing just 12 to 14 inches tall, Miniature Schnauzers are usually recognized for their prominent features which include bushy eyebrows, mustache, and beard.  TLC Kennel is proud to offer Miniature Schnauzers in all of their coat colors include black, black & silver, salt & pepper, and white.

German Shepherd Dog

The German Shepherd Dog is a breed of medium to large-sized working dog that originated in Germany.  Because of their strength, intelligence, trainability, and obedience, German Shepherds around the world are often the preferred breed for many types of work, including disability assistance, search-and-rescue, police and military roles.  German Shepherds were bred specifically for their intelligence, a trait for which they are now famous.  The German Shepherd is the second-most popular breed of dog in the United States.  Check out Buddy on our home page, TLC’s outstanding German Shepherd stud dog.

Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is one of the largest toy breeds.  The breed is highly affectionate, playful, extremely patient and eager to please.  As such, dogs of the breed are good with children and other dogs.   They will adapt quickly to almost any environment, family, and location and suit city and country life.  Their ability to bond with larger and smaller dogs makes them ideal in houses with more than one breed of dog.   This comfort-loving breed adores cuddling in laps and snuggling on soft pillows, but he also can keep up with a wide range of activities.  Kings choice.

Yorkshire Terrier

The Yorkshire Terrier, often referred to as the Yorkie, is an affectionate, intelligent and loyal companion. Toy Fox Terrier

The Toy Fox Terrier comes from England or it was developed in the USA, depending upon who you talk to.   Toy Fox Terriers are small dogs with a muscular and athletic appearance. Notable characteristic traits include a short glossy and predominantly white coat, coupled with a predominantly solid head, and a short, high-set tail.  The Toy Fox Terrier is a happy little dog, full of the energy and considered a very healthy breed despite their small size.

Shih Tzu

The Shih Tzu, also known as the Chrysanthemum Dog, is a toy dog breed, weighing 10 – 12 pounds when full grown, with long silky hair. The exact origins of the breed are unknown, but it is thought to have originated in Tibet and then been developed in China although various hypotheses exist.  The Shih Tzu is one of the world’s most popular breed of dogs and it is known for having a majestic attitude, lots of energy, and natural beauty.  TLC Kennel offers the Shih Tzu in  coats of many colors.  If you are looking for an incredibly cute and playful puppy, the Shih Tzu is the dog for you.

Shiba Inu

The Shiba Inu is the oldest and smallest of native Japanese dogs, and his name means “Little Brushwood Dog.” He was developed in the mountainous regions of Japan and has become Japan’s most popular companion dog.  The first Shiba Inu arrived in America in 1954 and people in the United States are well on their way to discovering why this breed is so popular.  If you are considering a Shiba as your next pet, get ready for a pop of fun in your life with this outgoing breed.  Once again TLC Kennel is proud to offer Shibas in all their many colors:  red, black and tan, cream, or sesame.


“Surprise” don’t let those foo foo haircuts fool you, the poodle was originally intended as a sporting dog.  Elegant. Proud. Clever.  Poodles are impressive dogs, as the many best-in-show winners from this dog breed can attest. Behind the blue ribbons, impressive hairdos, and regal attitude, you’ll find an affectionate family dog with an ancient history and many talents.  Poodles are bred in a variety of sizes, distinguished by adult shoulder height.  TLC Kennel is proud to offer both the miniature and toy size in this breed.


The Pomeranian is named for a region that once included parts of Poland and Germany, but he is descended from the Spitz dogs of Lapland and Iceland.  The Pomeranian is a proud, lively little dog. It is intelligent, eager to learn, very loyal to its family.  The Pom is a wonderful companion and show dog. The breed’s docile temper and affectionate nature endear it to many.  It is alert, inquisitive and active: one of the most independent of the toy breeds.  Its liveliness and spirit make it well-liked by persons who do not usually care for toy dogs.  If they are properly introduced they usually get along with other dogs and household animals without any problems.  Poms make good little watchdogs.  Poms are just one of the toy breeds TLC Kennel specialize in.  Because of their small size, they usually come with some special care instructions to make transition easier on the puppy and it’s new family.

Miniature Pinscher

The Miniature Pinscher is a dog that looks like a smaller version of the Doberman Pinscher breed. However, the two breeds are unrelated, and, in fact, the Miniature Pinscher breed is older than the Doberman Pinscher.  The Miniature Pinscher is a hardy little fellow who is proud and courageous. He is loyal, spirited and alert with high energy, intelligent, lively and brave. They are generally good with other pets and children.  Typically Miniature Pinschers weigh 8-12 pounds and stand 10-12 inches tall at the shoulders.  If these sharp looking little guys are your thing, ask TLC Kennel what variety of colors they may have available in the Miniature Pinscher.


Known for having silky white hair, the Maltese is a small toy breed that is believed to have descended from the dogs that originated in Central Mediterranean Area.  The exercise needs of the Maltese may be met with a short leash-led walk, or indoor games.  Its coat, which may be clipped for easier maintenance, requires frequent combing. The Maltese is generally considered an unsuitable outdoor dog but can fare well in either the city or the country. Maltese are bred to be cuddly companion dogs. They are extremely lively and playful.  The full-grown Maltese weigh around 3-7 pounds, and may grow from 9-10 inches tall.  Maltese have been a long standing breed here at TLC Kennel for over 30 years as they enjoy a steady popularity.

Lhasa Apso

The Lhasa Apso is a non-sporting dog breed originating in Tibet.  Lhasa Apsos are alert with a keen sense of hearing.   The breed is hardy and independent; dignified and aloof; inquisitive and intelligent; active and interested in the world around them. Most prefer being with you rather than being held for long periods of time by you. They want to be your companions and certainly enjoy their share of hugs and cuddles


The Dachshund was first bred in Germany in the 17th century as a fearless dog who would dig for and hunt badger.  The Dachshund is a bold, tenacious, devoted, loving and protective dog. He has lots of energy but he is also playful, fun, happy and outgoing. He loves to be part of everything and needs lots of attention and scratches from you. He bonds very closely to his owner and will follow you around .  He needs a regular though moderate amount of daily exercise and play-time inside the house, or outdoors.  TLC Kennel has Dachshunds in most all of the popular colors.

Cocker Spaniel

Cockers are intelligent and easy to train. The Cocker has become a favorite family dog because of the unique Cocker Spaniel temperament. They are trustworthy and kind and are ideal for people that have small children and other animals. They were considered America’s favorite dog at one time and still remain very popular as a pet because of their intelligence, beauty and temperament.  They strive on companionship and will provide hours of entertainment with family and friends. The Cocker Spaniel temperament is hard to beat.


The Chihuahua is the smallest breed of dog and is named for the state of Chihuahua in Mexico.  The Chihuahua has become a very popular dog in America.  Confident, feisty, courageous, and loyal  he is loving, gentle and sweet-natured with his family. He likes to play games, and needs lots of attention, affection and petting.  Chihuahuas come in a wide variety of sizes, head shapes, colors, and coat lengths.  For that reason Chihuahuas are a favorite breed here at TLC Kennel as no two are ever exactly alike and it’s lots of fun to see all the wonderful variations this breed is known for.

Cairn Terrier

The Cairn Terrier is one of the oldest of the terrier breeds, originating in the Scottish Highlands and recognized as one of Scotland’s earliest working dogs.  A small, rugged dog with a shaggy coat, the Cairn Terrier is outgoing and a lively addition to any household.  This dog enjoys meeting new people and especially enjoys being around his human family. The Cairn will stay close to its people and wants to interact with them as much as possible.  Cairns get along well with children, and will happily play with them.  These dogs are generally healthy and live on average about 12 to 17 years.  If you want a little Toto of your very own, Cairns are bred at TLC Kennel with you in mind.

Miniature Australian Shepherd

The Australian Shepherd originated in the western U.S., not Australia, around the time of the Gold Rush in the 1840s. Originally bred to herd livestock, he remains a working dog breed at heart.  The Aussie, as he’s nicknamed, is happiest when he has a job to do.  The Aussie makes life an adventure.  He’ll work and play from sunrise to sunset and win your heart with his loyal and loving personality.  This versatile breed is a wonderful working dog and a terrific companion for an active family.  TLC Kennel offers the toy version of this wonderful breed.

Bichon Frise

A cheerful, loving, lively, and naturally sociable dog, the Bichon Frise is a wonderful family companion who adores children and gets along well with other dogs and pets.
